This Data Protection Act (KVKK) Information Notice is prepared by Ayazdent Dental Clinic (“Clinic,” “Data Controller”), in accordance with Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to Be Followed in Fulfilling the Obligation to Provide Information; and has been prepared to inform you regarding the processing of your personal data.

- Health data: Examination, diagnosis, and treatment information related to oral and dental health (sensitive personal data; under Article 6 of the Personal Data Protection Law).

- Visual data: Clinical area security camera (CCTV) recordings (if any, for informational purposes).
- Marketing data: Communication permissions (SMS, email, WhatsApp) only with explicit consent.

- Conducting examination, diagnosis, treatment, and patient follow-up processes
- Pre- and post-contract processes, billing, and financial obligations
- Evaluation of patient satisfaction and service quality
- Website security, performance, and legal log-keeping obligations (Law No. 5651)
- Information sharing and promotional communications with explicit consent
- Compliance with requests from authorized institutions and protection of legal rights
4. Legal Grounds for Processing
Your data is processed based on the legal grounds listed in Articles 5 and 6 of the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK). These include: the conclusion or performance of a contract; compliance with a legal obligation; legitimate interest; public health and the provision of preventive medicine, medical diagnosis, treatment, and care services; and explicit consent (when required).
5. Transfer
Your personal data is not sold or marketed for commercial purposes. To the extent necessary, your personal data may be transferred to authorized public institutions, judicial authorities, accounting and financial advisory service providers, hosting and email/SMS infrastructure providers, and in accordance with mandatory reporting requirements under health legislation.
6. Retention Period
Your data is retained for the duration required by the purpose of processing and for the statute of limitations or retention periods stipulated by applicable legislation; at the end of this period, it is deleted, destroyed, or anonymized.
7. Your Rights
Pursuant to Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to: learn whether your personal data has been processed; if so, request information regarding such processing; determine whether it is being used in accordance with its purpose; identify third parties to whom it has been transferred within or outside the country; request the correction of any incomplete or incorrect data; request its erasure or destruction under the conditions set forth in the KVKK, object to a decision made solely through automated processing that adversely affects you, and request compensation for any damages you may have suffered due to unlawful processing.
